Tahatū Careers Planning Solution

We partnered with Indigenous Design & Innovation Aotearoa (IDIA), Nicholson Consulting and the Tertiary Education Commission (TEC) to design and deliver a new careers planning platform to help New Zealanders aged 7-70+ forge career pathways and find work.

Māori and Pasifika were our primary audience. We developed a te ao Māori framework for the project, and undertook extensive UX research and user testing. We ran workshops to help us build features, using play-based techniques to encourage audiences to build their own unique vision for their futures.

We released the MVP in early 2021.

On this project I conducted the stakeholder management and led the research and design, including the product vision, as well as with working on the sale including the project approach and setting up.

Skill Net

In early 2021 we released the MVP site Skill Net. The digital experience supports people to look at how skills they have gained from previous jobs match to different jobs using a data driven solution.

Build your world concept designs

Based on the insights from the concept testing we explored a variety of conceptual ideas for how people could explore their career options.

Tahatū

The beta version of Tahatū has been set up for testing. The solution reflects the beginning of the journey to build the careers planning platform with the occupation and education database.
